Vítkovice (Ostrava), Czech Republic

Ostrava - Vítkovice
On our way to Poland, we made a quick stop in Ostrava to visit an old industrial factory which is now used a museum. The factory was huge and lots of iron used to be produced here with about 3,000 people employed at one point. Although I'm not really into any of that stuff, it was really neat to tour the factory and learn some of the history behind it.
Not to mention, I got to rock out this awesome safety helmet. I felt like bob the builder for a minute.   ;-)
Here are a few shots of what the factory looked like.

This is the top angle of the factory. We got a lift to the top, or part of the top, and took some stairs to get to the very top.
You know what that means...top pictures!

As you can see, compared to other places in the Czech Republic, Ostrava is very industrialized.

We also got to go inside the blast furnace and I guess that's a big deal because it's the only factory that allows people to see such a furnace. Since the inside was a hot pink tint, I found it pretty awesome.

That pretty much resumes my adventure in the industrial factory of Vitkovice, Ostrava. Until next time... =)
